The National Board of Revenue (NBR) Chairman Md Nojibur Rahman said Walton has set an exemplary role in paying remarkable amount of revenue maintaining proper regulations which can be followed.

Md Nojibur Rahman, also the Senior Secretary of Internal Resources Division (IRD), came up with the statement after visiting Walton factory at Chandra in Gazipur on Sunday.

"We have established the revenue-friendly culture in the country. Walton is an example of the positive atmosphere for investment and business in the country created under the leadership of the Prime Minister and Finance Minister," he said.
The NBR Chairman said: "Earlier many companies used to import low-standard products and sell them in the country. But many entrepreneurs established industrial organizations inside the country using the production-friendly regulations of the incumbent government. They are doing well in this field. Many companies including Walton are now manufacturing and marketing products inside the country. They are taking the country's investment and business activities ahead day by day."

The NBR Chairman and IRD Senior Secretary Md Nojibur Rahman, inaugurated the LED TV Production Unit-3 while visiting the Industrial Park of country's leading electronics, electrical and home appliances manufacturing company Walton. Besides, he also visited a compressor production unit of Walton which is awaiting to be inaugurated soon.

Prior to the visiting of Walton Hi-Tech Industries Ltd. and Walton Micro-Tech Corporation, the NBR boss also inaugurated several new models of Walton products including Intelligent Inverter technology air-conditioners and fridges.
Md Nojibur Rahman has inaugurated world class ultra-modern technology based Walton products which include new models of refrigerator, air conditioner, LED television, remote-control table fan etc. Among the products are, Intelligent Inverter technology based air-conditioner and refrigerator, glass-door technology based refrigerator, remote control table fan and Next generation Quantum Dot Plus technology’s SpectraQ TV along with three other new models of television.

After the inauguration, the NBR Chairman visited the well-decorated product display center of Walton. He talked with the officials of Walton R&D (Research and Development) and Design departments.

The NBR Chairman also visited the production units of Walton fridge, LED television, air conditioner, ceiling and wall fan, blender, electric switch-socket, remote-control fan regulator, sealed lid acid rechargeable battery and other home and electrical appliances production units. He was amazed by witnessing the use of ultra-modern technology, machineries and the vast work process of quality control.

He also took several models of high configuration smart design Walton brand laptops on his hands and came up with high appreciation.
Earlier at noon, the NBR boss was cordially greeted and welcomed by Walton Hi-Tech Industries Ltd. Chairman SM Samshul Alam, and Managing Director SM Ashraful Alam upon his arrival at Walton Industrial Park premises.

Director General to Central Detective Cell of NBR Md. Belal Uddin, Customs, Excise & VAT Commissionerate, Dhaka (North) Md. Masud Sadik, Tax Commissioner (Gazipur Zone) Sultana Ahmed, Customs, Excise & VAT Division (Gazipur Zone) Chief Assistant Commissioner Nur-A-Hasna Sanjida Ansua, Personal Secretary to NBR Chairman Shamsul Islam and Senior Information Officer, Syed A Mu'men were among others visited the Walton factory with NBR Chairman.

Sirajul Islam (Policy, HRM & Admin), Ashraful Ambia (Sourcing Engineering), Alamgir Alam Sarker (Production), Senior Operative Directors Uday Hakim and colonel (Rted.) S M Shahadat Hossain, Senior Additional Director Shahajada Selim, First Senior Additional Director Firoj Alam, Media Adviser Enayet Ferdous were among others top Walton officials present on the occasion.
